Fast & Furious 10, also known as Fast X (Vietnamese title: Quá Nhanh Quá Nguy Hiểm 10), has been unveiled to audiences, bringing unexpected twists and surprises. This installment notably features the return of two familiar characters that fans have come to love.
1. Luke Hobbs
The character Luke Hobbs made a surprising mid-credit scene appearance that left audiences buzzing about what they had just witnessed.
However, Hobbs’ return is quite compelling. He is the individual responsible for taking down Hernan Reyes, which means he has a vested interest in ensuring that Dante doesn’t get the upper hand. Certain scenes in the film have clearly indicated that Hobbs is indeed focused on eliminating his target.
It’s essential to note that Dwayne Johnson previously had a falling out with Vin Diesel. In December 2021, during an interview with CNN, Johnson publicly stated that he would not return to the Fast & Furious franchise. He made it clear that he would always support the franchise and its success while maintaining that he would not reprise his role.
With this announcement, fans no longer dared to hope that they would see Dwayne Johnson return to the franchise. Yet, here he is, making a surprise appearance in Fast X as part of a mid-credit scene.
2. Gisele Yashar
The character Gisele Yashar made a surprising appearance at the end of Fast X. Letty and Cipher, who were in South America, spotted a submarine. And the character on that submarine is Gisele Yashar. Her appearance was shocking as she was presumed dead.
So how is Gisele still alive? This detail has yet to be clarified.
Despite her limited screen time in Fast X, Gisele’s brief appearance at the film’s conclusion, along with Hobbs’ mid-credit scene, makes these two unexpected characters’ returns less significant in the grand scheme of the film.
However, considering the ending of Fast X, with Dom Toretto and his crew needing extra help for the next installment, Hobbs and Gisele will likely become pivotal characters in future plots.
