The Final Rival of Zoro in One Piece: Is it Mihawk?
In One Piece, Zoro’s dream is to become the world’s greatest swordsman. To achieve this title, he must defeat Dracule Mihawk, the current holder of the title. While Mihawk is often viewed as Zoro’s ultimate rival, there may be another contender for this position.

During their first encounter, Mihawk showcased a significant level of strength compared to Zoro. After being defeated, Zoro was determined to train and improve himself under Mihawk’s guidance. In this sense, Mihawk can be considered Zoro’s master and mentor.
However, the Blackbeard Pirates are formidable foes, and this does not align with Mihawk’s character. Currently, the Blackbeard crew, alongside the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates, are a significant threat that Luffy and his allies must confront within the story. Interestingly, one member of the Blackbeard crew is a swordsman named Shiryu of the Rain, who may be a potential rival for Zoro.

As of now, Shiryu has not yet displayed the full extent of his strength, but as one of the ten commanders of the Blackbeard Pirates, he is undoubtedly a significant threat.
Shiryu was previously the prison warden at Impel Down, known for his incredible strength and ranked among the most dangerous prisoners in One Piece. His ability to wield the Suke Suke no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, allows him to become invisible, making him a deadly opponent capable of ambushing his enemies.
Looking ahead, there is a strong possibility that Shiryu will confront Mihawk, which could lead to a fierce competition between Zoro and Shiryu for the title of the world’s greatest swordsman.
